I’ve known Rex for almost 2 decades as a friend. You couldn’t ask for a better friend. You couldn’t ask for a better friend. He’s always there for you and cares about me and my family. About 8 years ago, my long term tenant moved out of my condo in East Vail. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to rent again.

I called Rex to see if he had any ideas on how or what I should to upgrade my condo, which was built early 70’s. So initially we were thinking the usual, kitchen and bathrooms. After going through things, Res said, “let’s draw up some ideas and get an architect on it”. The condo is all concrete and long and narrow. 

As the ideas came together, we decided this was going to be a major remodel. WE decided to take out a concrete structural wall, staircase, moved the utilities, from the loft to the downstairs and added a powder room downstair. 

The end result is a totally modern, roomy useable place that we use throughout the year. Rex exceeded our expectation on the quality, timeliness and cost of this project. I would highly recommend Rex for any remodel or full construction projects. In closing let me say, “when in doubt, call the Kiwi Rex and he’s get ‘er done!

Rex was referred to me by a friend and I had also known him for a while. I bought a condo that needed a complete renovation, but they had strict rules about when we could work there. He had 6 weeks to completely gut the condo and redo everything from floors, to moving walls, electrical, and plumbing. He did an amazing job, finished in the allotted time, and the best part was that I was not in town for any of it.

He was super organized and made sure that the architects were doing what they needed to do for permitting that I had ordered the flooring, fixtures, paint ahead of time and even took care of receiving furniture for me. When I returned, my condo was absolutely fabulous. I can’t say enough positive things about Rex!

When I bought Paddies in February 2012 it needed a lot of repair and a lot of remodeling before it could be called Route 6 Cafe. There a lot construction and remodel tradesmen in this valley and my decision on who to use was made on what info I could gather about all my options. After carefully choosing what I thought was to be the correct company construction started, we had a window of 9 weeks to get the job done. After week 5 my carefully chosen construction guy walked out leaving me in a deep mess.

Rex has been a customer of the Cafe for many years and when he heard about my dilemma Rex put all his other jobs on hold jumped in and almost single-handedly finished off the remodel. We opened on schedule.

This may not sound too impressive to some but to me and my business and my staff it meant everything. Rex worked day and night to get us open on time. And for that, I cannot thank him enough. His work is of the highest quality and is constantly complimented at the Cafe. Rex also recognized that money was tight and has yet to give me a bill.

Rex is one of the hardest working and honest people I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with and should be compensated correctly for his efforts.
